Barcelona

By: Steve Swindells
This is an epic, sweeping, evocative, piano-led, free-form ballad from Steve Swindells' alter-ego Thom Topham featuring the mellifluous flugelhorn of Sade band member Stuart Matthewman. Written in Barcelona in 1988, it's a lyrical travelogue of one man's voyage of discovery.

By: Steve Swindells

UK-based Steve Swindells had two major solo record deals, "Messages" on RCA and "Fresh Blood" on ATCO/WEA. Both were reissued on Cherry Red in 2009, and his double CD "The Lost Albums" was released on Flicknife Records in 2012. Steve's songs have been covered by Roger Daltrey (four over three albums, including "Bitter And Twisted" on the McVicar soundtrack), Hawkwind, and Lulu. Musicians who've recorded with Steve include Jon (Culture Club) Moss, Winston (Massive Attack) Blissett, Dale (Amy Winehouse) Davis, and Guy (Pink Floyd) Pratt.
