Jay Yola’s path began in Detroit, Michigan, where he was raised by a single mother who later left to raise him in Kentucky. By the young age of 10, he discovered he had an inspirational voice that needed to be heard, and after years of looking up to his idols and listening to their music he decided to follow his passion for Rap and Hip Hop.
