ABOUT THE BAND: ElectricKoraLand (EKL) create original music using a fusion of world instruments, combined with contemporary sounds. Since their first album EKL have spread their global roots to an expansive repertoire featuring an Electrified version of the Kora (African Harp); Electronically modulated cello; Mbiras (Thumb Pianos); Hang Drums (Gong like instruments); Cajon, and Balafon (West African Marimba). These instruments are channelled through an array of effects, with various acoustic hand percussion of African and Contemporary influence, and programmed percussion.
