Ras Madou

Hailing from Koulikoro in Mali (West African) - a war-torn country where music is actually banned in some areas - comes Ras Madou which is the stage name of producer and performer Madou Diarra. Drawing on the spiritual and inspirational Jamaican Rastafarian movement, his songs are reggae influenced with a distinct West African slant, often reflecting the situation in his country and appeal to a widespread mainstream audience.
