Groove

Groove is the sense of propulsive rhythmic "feel" or sense of "swing" created by the interaction of the music played by a band's rhythm section (drums, electric bass or double bass, guitar, and keyboards).

While resources such as Wikipedia do not define Groove as a music genre, we believe its roots can be derived as a subgenre of RnB that came about in the 1950s as jazz, blues and early RnB elements fused together with a primarily African-American influence. Groove was an infectious new type of rhythmic music that became a foundation of other genres to follow such as salsa, funk, rock, fusion, and soul. The word is often used to describe an aspect of music that makes one want to move, dance, or "groove".
