Rafa El Tachuela

Born in Berlin, Rafa El Tachuela taught himself Flamenco guitar at the age of 13 and made his public debut at 15 in the "Quartier Latin" in Berlin. His Flamenco passion led him to found the group Yamada, and for eight years he wrote all of their compositions. Parallel to that, he studied guitar, composition, and analysis at the Hochschule der Kunste (University of the Arts) with H. J. Kaps and other icons. Rafa's compositions and guitar work explore the roots and origins of Flamenco and their musical connections with the ancient, complex traditional Arabian culture.
