Zachary James Kolkman

Zachary James Kolkman is a Composer, Producer, Performer, and Songwriter based in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. He studied composition in Chicago and was the first undergraduate student to have an orchestral piece performed while in residence. He creates works of wide-reaching influences and genres, and he has a deep love of narrative. Zachary uses Retro Electronic sounds and instrumentation to enhance storytelling, and his music is dramatic, emotive, pensive, nostalgic, at times ominous, but always cinematic at its core.
