The Only Road

By: Mick Simpson
Anthemic Blues Rock song with a slight 1970's New Wave feel. Features Rolling Stones style choppy guitar, screaming solo and solid backbeat. Perfect for scenes of driving down an open road with radio playing in the background, or walking the long and winding path.

By: Mick Simpson

While widely acclaimed in the music industry, UK artist Mick Simpson's work is little known to the rest of the music world. While performing in the early 1980s, he was spotted by Elkie Brooks, who signed him up to tour in her band Vinegar Joe. BBC Radio One’s Tommy Vance spoke to Mick backstage after a gig, and began playing Mick’s original instrumental tracks on The Friday Night Rock Show. In the 1990s, John Parr, of ‘St. Elmo’s Fire’ fame, featured him on his album, Man With A Vision. In addition, Mick won the 2004 International Song Writers Award, sponsored by The Brit Awards.
