D Jungle Flutes (Birds Turned Down)

By: Michael Coleman
The twist to this one is… the second chorus is done with a very deep handmade clay ocarina from a famous ocarina maker in Kamakura, Japan. Its ghostly sound floats in the air like distant voices in the forest calling to each other. Close your eyes…. so you can see… Dreamy peaceful nature deep woods

By: Michael Coleman

Born in New Jersey in 1956, Michael Coleman has called many parts of the world his home -- including Japan, where he has lived for over 25 years. He has worked as a producer for many Japanese artists, and has also rapped onstage with Mack 10, WC, and the legendary Latoya Jackson. Specializing in World music, Michael fell in love with the didgeridoo, and even flew his entire family to Australia on his quest to find a good teacher and an Aboriginal-made instrument. He also incorporates the Hapi hand drum, mouth harp, and a variety of other unique ethnic instruments in his work.
